Laws of the Game
In 2009 we saw a change in the classification of referees directed by the CSA. All previous Class 4 referees over the age of 16 became District, those between 14 and 16 years old were District youth. If you are 16 years of age by May 1st 2011, you will be eligible to referee youth competitive games. As a result of these changes game assignors will be directed by PHSA as to what games you can officiate, this will depend on many factors such as age, experience, education and training, fitness to name a few to determine if you are the correct candidate for the game assignments. In our efforts to offer referees within PHSA the opportunity to better themselves we are continuing our education programs and the "Laws of the game advanced clinic". Please see the attached document for the dates being offered
The course is open to all current district referees with at least 1 year of experience in outdoor games. Attendance of this course will enable you to officiate youth competitive games such as South Region SL that are more challenging.
Please read the attached course information completely as there are absolutely no exceptions to these eligibility requirements.
