Incorporated in 1982 as a non-profit organization, services are provided from our Mississauga office with a budget of $275,000.00 and one employee. The Association is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors who are elected by the membership.
The membership consists of: 17 Youth Clubs, 25 Senior Competitive and Recreational Clubs, 3 Ontario Soccer Referees Association Branches and 3 Leagues. In 2003, player registration exceeded 55,000 including players, administrators, coaches and referees.
Affiliated with the Ontario Soccer Association, PHSA is one of the twenty-one District Associations that participate in the governance of Soccer in Ontario. With representation on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Soccer Association, PHSA assists in the delivery of programs and services and the implementation of policy.
The Association subscribes to the OSA's 'Mission Statement'.
'To provide an opportunity for any person to play organized soccer and to assist participants in reaching their potential through the provisions of programs for developing players, coaches, referees, and administrators in the province of Ontario.
